About Me

After 13 years as a nomad, I wouldn't say I'm traveling anymore. I just need to park my body somewhere. I wish I could be AI. I'd be nowhere and know everything.

Engineer and manager by training, in the last year of study I realized that I was rather inclined to independent living, free thinking and creation in the arts. I sang opera in Japan for a few years, did translations, language tutoring, and now I run my own small online business. I made my own language learning app.

I was born and grown in a small town in Italy. I internationalized myself: at 21 I went to Japan for my graduate studies and since 2011 I’ve been wandering around the world only carrying a suitcase that became lighter and lighter, moving from country to country every few weeks or months. I don’t have a “home”: I couchsurf, stay at friends’, stay in hostels or rent a room, case by case. I don’t mind sleeping in the park, either.

I lived/stayed here and there. I'm not striving to tick boxes to make the list longer, but since we're talking about my profile, here it is:
Japan 6y
South Korea 2.5y
Taiwan 3.5y
Indonesia 2y
Vietnam 8m
China 6m
Singapore 2m
USA 2m
Germany 2m
France 2m
Canada 1m
Austria 1m
Thailand 1m
Hong Kong 5m
Philippines 3w
Norway 2w

This unstable lifestyle doesn’t allow long term romantic relationships, although I do occasionally have short term ones with enlightened partners, which often turn into life-long friendships. I'm for open/free love and I find jealousy a miserable childish feeling that I leave to the weak and lacking self-confidence.

I'm a language geek. I've learnt 6 foreign languages at an advanced level and 7 at an intermediate level. For now.

I have a literary way of speaking. I'm not into small talk. I mock at the world from outside.

I work and earn little, but I also live with little. Happiness is being content.

I don't mind if you're not like me but these are some features I'm proud of:
* Quit TV in 2000. I already see stupidity around me and I can't even turn off people.
* I don't smoke or drink. Life is already fun without intoxicating myself.
* I'm an atheist, free from superstition.
* I like cats. More than people.
* I don't use shaving foam. I shave with warm water only.
* I avoid using disposable stuff.
* I don't eat animal foods (you could say I'm vegan but not a fundamentalist).
* 2000+ chess rating
