About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Discovering and exchanging everything that connect humans with Mother Nature.

ABOUT ME

Please, note that if you are searching a couch you don't need to read fully my description, just the couch description as I give you basic important informations.

Since I have been 22 I live in the country working at home for my selfsufficiency. I try to grow what I eat and since it's not easy, I end eating lots of wild plants. I also like to build with my hands what I need (buskets, shoes, building, soap, bread out of my own flour, all I can do out of wood, earth etc).

For those who wants to come and stay with me for some time: I live in a house with little photovoltaic electricity, cook with solar oven and cooker or with wood. I built a straw-earthen house where I'm actually living and am building a new one. You can look picture of the work in progress at:

https://sites.google.com/site/cerchioruraleanimatribale/home/artigianato-rurale/costruzione-in-terra-cruda/archintreccio

and a video documentary about this new/old technique I'm experimenting:

I like exchanging with other people from different countries, but also from Italy. I like travelling with an ecological consciuosness visiting rural area, moving by foot, by bike or hitchhiking. I've also a dream to do some sailing and tried to learn how to and would like to experience more this way of travelling.

I'm really interested also in archeological sites, architectur, botanic and ethnography. I'm presently working a lot teaching all my knoledges, above all: basketry, sandal making, earth building, bread baking.

My other great interest are children and childbirth. I will soon start to build up a group for anybody who is interested in improoving and enriching the birth culture where we ended in this last century.

I'm mainly vegetarian and don't drink any alcool (except the delicious local liqueur by my neightbours).

I've also 2 children (they don't live with me all the time). If you've children, don't hesitate to visit me with them!

Angelica is my girlfriend and she's new in CS so we are using my profile for now. She is psychoterapist and works mainly with children and does also pet therapy with donkeys.

PHILOSOPHY

Let's take care of our children, our trees and the place where we live, let's share it worthly with the other living beings and the world will get better and better!!

Mostly I'll be travelling with my girlfriend but she hasn't yet a profile but for sure we are very similar!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It's one of the most enthusiastic project I joined. I hosted few people that came for several days to help me in the cob building and other things.
I try to make every experience as host and as guest a very beautiful and unic experience.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In January 2010 I've been in Switzerland and found very nice hosts that I actually am missing even if we met for a short period of time. I hope to go again by them.
In September 2009 I had a rescue hospitality in Aosta, Italy and it was just great.
In October 2010 wonderful people hosted me close to Forlì. We exchanged a lot and they taught me many things!
In febrary 2011 I travelled through Rhodes (Greece) and western Turkey and met many interesting people and really enjoyed the cultural exchange. One bad thing was just that I met some people not really interested in cultural exchange or not giving me any opportunity to get in touch with the local culture. I just wonder why they hosted me!!
In 2012 I've been hosted in Ancona and it was an emergency ospitality that I enjoyed a lot.
In June 2014 I've been hosted in Valencia and had a really great time there with some local CS-ers.

Interests

Natural way of living without exausting what Mother Nature offers us. Selfsufficiency. Orgonomy (see Wilhelm Reich) and Gentle Baby Massage after his daughter and other natural terapies or life enhancing practices as well. I would like to use all the therapeutic knowledges I've acquainted within childbirth since the unassisted birth at home of my children.

Alternative energies and simple living in contact with the earth.
Travelling of course, especially by bike, by foot or sailing, earth construction (earth houses, stoves and ovens), woodwork, basketry, baking and cooking, photography, dancing folk music, singing, meteorology, languages, botanic and many others that honour life in her complexity...

Building slowly a rural community focused on sustainable living.
Starting up a local group for mutual support in child birth and child rearing.
