I'm a friendly, open-minded person who loves travelling (33 Countries & counting 🙏) and meeting new people&cultures. I’m an academically & politically active feminist. I'm sociable, extroverted and easy-going. I play percussions. I consider myself a good art-consumer; I'm quite keen on writing&reading pieces of literature, seeing movies, watching theatrical performances and making&listening to music. I like playing games, chatting with friends, drinking, dreaming, going out/staying in (when it's the right time:), etc. In general, I like to have fun. I'm the "try everything at least once" type of person.

I graduated from English Philology Dept. of Uni and spent a year in Scotland for a European Voluntary Service project; I've then done a tri-lateral master programme on Advanced European Studies in Istanbul & Nice & Berlin.. I'm now working as an Instructor at a private university in Ankara. Previously, I worked full-time as a Projects Expert at an Istanbul University and freelance as a Youth Worker with many NGOs. I have also worked in a Youth NGO on international voluntary workcamps, and before that in an EU Twinning Project of the Turkish Ministry of Agriculture. I also taught English at a private Language Course for over 1.5yrs. I'm a freelance translator as well. I've always been involved in several youth NGOs and student self-management organisations. I've had the chance to travel considerably in Europe, US, Middle East and India. I have had several experiences in the Youth in Action Programme of the European Commission, for which I'm a trainer as well.

I love the idea of people helping eachother without any benefits/expectations. This is the kind of society I would like to live in so I'm doing my best to contribute by hosting as many people as I can while advertising it by spreading the word around around in the meantime.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have hosted quite a lot of guests with whom I shared, learned, taught and had nice memories from many countries in many of my homes when I was living in different countries. I also had the chance to stay ay some very cool and interesting hosts to each of whom I'm very grateful.

there are simply too many books or movies to jot down here that I like.. plus, we should leave sth to talk about for when we meet to have a coffee, right? :)

as far as the music goes, i like anything hi-quality and people-made. (computer-based genres such as pop, techno, club, etc is not music to me; they are computer games.) mostly i listen to world/fusion, jazz, rock, thm/tsm(traditional turkish music)...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

watch my baby nieces grow up.. they're amazing! / paragliding in turkey, hitchig around india for a month, watching sunset over greek islands, camping in scottish highlands etc..
