About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To explore the world, meet people from other countries, experience their lifestyle, culture, and make new friends.
ABOUT ME
Me...I'm happy, fun, considerate, flexible and have an interesting background. I'm a traveler at heart and am always dreaming about where I want to go next. I consider myself interesting to talk with because of my long life experiences. Even tho' I'm 69, I have a young, compassionate, loving heart, and get along great with all younger generations.
I'm divorced with two grown sons (42 and 46) and one precious, fun and delightful 6 year old grandson.
Photography is my passion and I've been taking classes at the local community college for the last 1-1/2 years. Just started two more classes for this semester. One of these days I'm hoping to be really good. I favor photojournalism-type photography, working in real environments. People, travel, interesting and unusual subjects are what I like to shoot best.
I am friendly, but know my boundaries and like to listen to others' stories as well.
PHILOSOPHY
My personal philosophy is to treat others with kindness and respect. Don't judge others, accept them as they are and know that no one is perfect.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I am relatively new to CS and have a couch. I've had several surfers and plan to have more CSers surfing here. And I hope to do some CSing in the near future. Just haven't decided where I want to go; definitely out of the US.
Any suggestions?
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've had the pleasure and great experience of having hosted several CSers. They've all been wonderful and I enjoyed every minute of their visit. Unfortunately I've had several requests I couldn't accommodate because of schedule conflicts.
I've slept on floors, camped out, stayed in hostels, slept on trains and boats, that type of thing, because a lot of my solo trips have been the "winging it" variety and very spontaneous. This is what I enjoy and is part of the adventure. So next time I'm on the road, I'll have a whole new world of CSers to meet and I can't wait.
Interests
I'm happy, love the outdoors and travel, books, hiking, reading, photography, theater, meeting new people, sailing, beach, Mexico, learning new things and up for trying new adventures and experiences.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've seen lots of the natural world and everything is so beautiful. I love it all.
To me the most amazing thing I have done is pack-up my car and two kids (when they were young) and drove cross-country from California up to Quebec, Canada, down the Eastern US to NYC. Shipped my car to England and we flew there and picked it up. I drove 28 thousand miles around Europe for four months. We settled in Grenoble, France and I went to university there and my kids went to French schools. It was a real adventure.
Countries I’ve Visited
