Hi I'm Leilani. I am a contortionist.
I travel. a lot.
I'm left-handed and prefer my tea with milk and sugar.

I'm studying filmmaking, photography, and new media technologies at University in London that I can merge my live performance with. I also live in Berlin and am starting a double life here.

I'm into making funny dinner parties, arduino robots, and experimental art films and projects.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I was travelling with the circus around the world, I used to go off on my own to different countries and meet up and get hosted by lovely people.
I have been to a few CS parties.
ONly good experiences for me yay!!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love music, and play piano and guitar for fun. I love dancing and making up stupid dances to all kinds of music, mostly 80's, classical, and classic rock.

I love going to the library and browsing thru whatever I feel like at the moment, like Dating for Dummies or Armenian Golgotha. I love easy books like Wuthering Heights, Rules of Attraction, Shogun, the Alchemist, and Middle East conflict books.
Right now, I'm doing research on subconscious and dreams... Lots of Freud and Jung hahaha.

Movies are great. I like making them too. Hhmmm... Emir Kusturica's early work such as Dom Za Vesanje and Underground, early 90's late 80's movies I grew up on like Beetlejuice and Aladdin, the Quebec series of Le Declin de L'empire Americain, Musicals, comedies, I love movies. Kenneth Anger. Waking Life. Gaspar Noe. Too. Many.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

After almost becoming a miscarriaged baby at 4 months in my mommy's stomach, I was miraculously born a healthy fat baby. The first thing my father said when he saw me was "OH, she looks like a pig." Hehehehehehehe.
