About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Life in Oakland with a puppy.

ABOUT ME

I used to believe that I could travel for the rest of my life. Then I started to miss my mother's cooking and all the things that I surrounded myself with back home. Ive been to many different places and have made some amazing friends.

I spend my time back home visiting the farmers market, cooking with friends and making ice cream. I have been to Burningman a bunch and I enjoy chatting about my experiences there. I fix computers and provide technical support for Mac and PC users.

Im most comfortable outside. Hiking around, riding my bike, walking, exploring.

Im interested in hosting individuals or couples who want to make a genuine connection. I'd love to learn about you, your travels, your home...
Please, no smokers, party animals, or jerks. I work from home, so you need to be autonomous and able to care for yourself.

PHILOSOPHY

Traveling is the enemy of prejudice.
Lose your mind and come to your senses.
Sharing is caring.
Pour your dining companions drink first.
Get out of your comfort zone.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sharing ideas, meals, secret fort locations- you name it. I want to learn more about your neighborhood and I want to tell you about mine.
Maybe by telling you about my favorite places in the Bay Area, like Julia Pffifer Burns State Park in Big Sur or the tree in Colby Park!
If I see people looking at maps in a confused way on the streets of San Francisco, im happy to help them.
I want to build communities.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have stayed with people all over the place. I have hosted visitors in my home. I have also WOOFED.
I spent a year traveling around the world with three of my college friends. We stayed in homes, on couches, in garages, in green houses and in thatched huts.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trekking in Nepal blew my mind. But it could have been the elevation. I learned so much about myself and my ability to push myself to extremes while I was in the mountains. At one point, we came across a child that had cracked open his skull and was bleeding very bad. My buddy and I had fallen behind our friends and didnt know if the next village was ahead or behind us. Kenny decided to run and carry him to the next village. At one point he thought that he had died in his arms. (He had passed out) When we finally arrived in the next village and got the kid treatment, I broke down. It was such an emotional experience, but the following year when we returned, his mother cried and smiled, when she realized who we were. He (Arjun) was playing with friends and smiling, which was an amazing feeling. We shared some time with the family, and although they didn't speak English and we spoke very little Nepali, we forged a life long bond.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to fix computers and am always willing to help if you have a problem. I have a large music collection and love to discover and share new and different artists from different parts of the world.
I love food. Especially fruit. Mangosteens, Cherimoyas, Pomelo, Cactus Fruit, Granada China.. really anything that i cant get (easily) in Northern California...
I LOVE to make ice cream.
