Want to know more about Estonia?

I'm one of those strange creatures that resides in a magical land between dangerous waters known to only the wildest of explorers (British bachelors and Finnish vodka tourists). I speak a language that is known only to a selected few that are born into it (and for those poor souls with a wild fantasy who try to learn it, you will be repeatedly and annoyingly reminded that it is just TOO HARD). My tribe consists of around 1,3 million people. We do many funny things with our free time, like walking on stilts, wearing funny colorful clothes, singing (with about 100,000 people at once, because who wants to stand out, right?) and bickering with our neigbouring country (by throwing little pebbles at each other at the border). In the summertime we have a lot of festivals - we set stuff on fire and then let intoxicated people jump over the flames. During the wintertime we mostly hibernate. You can also encounter our species in unexpected and random places, such as chicken farms in New Zealand, nudist camps in Spain or on the streets of some little village in Arkansas (or who-knows-where-else) trying to sell you some knowledge (textbooks mostly).

I am a foodie. So if you visit Estonia you can try some Estonian delicacies with me, like meat-jelly, blood sausage, fermented sour milk or liquid bread. Mmmmmmm! But don't worry, we can eat 'normal' food too. Like boiled potato.

In Tartu I don't have a couch for you to surf on, but I can guide you through this wild safari, that is my on-and-off hometown called tARTu, if I have time left over (between taking naps :)). I'll introduce you to some of the beasts around town that go by the name of "homo studentimus drunkimus" who usually shed their colorful feathers for the cold months, looking like your ordinary gray street pigeon for 10 months out of 12, but who get all lively and colorful again, once reminded of the yellow bright ball in the sky (a rare but breathtaking experience).

So if you're nice, you can write to me, maybe I'll show you around. Even if you're a British bachelor or a Finnish vodka tourist. I don't judge.
