About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Currently bicycling in Mexico and heading south

ABOUT ME

I have been a nomad, vagabond now for nearly 7 years. I didn't plan that or ever think I would be traveling the world with a tiny daypack. For some reason I feel at home on the road. One day I remembered all those stories that I had read from the time I was a little girl. There had to be more, more than the feeling I had when I had what I thought I was suppossed to have. Having been brushed by death and seen death in my own family ,I decided to go. To see the world. After years of feeling like an alien in my family and society I asked myself if I could do anything what would it be...I answered move to Paris. In 2 weeks I sold all I owned and was living in Montmartre. I gave up material things for the unknown. I am happy I did. I seem to keep moving and love to meet people at the most basic levels. I have traveled many ways, all forms of transportation. I've ended up in the most amazing and sometimes frightening places but always aware how alive I am. I slept in places one would never imagine. I have a life that some may not understand, it only matters that I understand for myself...to give what I can with an open heart and to receive with a grateful heart. I have been "adopted" into so many families on my journey...There is so much love on this good, good road. I've passed by many a monument to sit face to face with a local, just to try to feel how it is to live where they live. The poorest on the outside normally gave me the most...the most light, inspiration, and the richness of simplicity...something that makes it difficult to go back into a material world.
I don't always know where I will be tomorrow...Where I lay my head may not be my home... it's my life....(dido)

PHILOSOPHY

Treat your dreams/ideas as important and vital as going to the toilet when you have the "urge!" Don't wait until tomorrow, if you aren't here neither is the opportunity.

Treat others like a stray cat in the street...feed them, love them....and let's try not to judge them.
