About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To enjoy this strange & beautiful world.

ABOUT ME

In the Spring of 2009 I went out on a cross-country, solo-acoustic tour of the US. Traveling mostly by Amtrak railways (with a few Greyhounds for good measure), I played 42 shows in 52 days in 21 states. I followed that up with a three week tour of the Northeast in October. I think I stayed with close to a dozen CSers on these two tours, and met many more for dinner, coffee, or drinks. They were ALL great hosts & proved beyond a doubt what a great community this is.

The tour was to promote my first, "Ode to an American Urn," and if you're a music lover, you can click on the album cover below to learn more and hear some tunes!

As of January 2011, I've got a new album in the works, and two nice couches in Brooklyn. I'll probably be getting out for some shorter tours this year, so I look forward to meeting some more CSers.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I surf couches when I go out on tour. Originally I thought of it as a great way for a poor singer-songwriter to save money while touring, but ultimately I found that it's much more than that. It's new friends & great perspectives on new places...

I host couch surfers at my apartment in Brooklyn. I currently have two couches. My three roommates are not on CS.com, so you need to send me your couch requests at least a week ahead of time so I can check with my roommates that it's okay for me to host you.
