About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I take photos of benches from around the world!

ABOUT ME

I work to live rather than live to work. I was working at Lyft as an analyst/project manager but now am pursuing my own path to make the world's best travel bag! It's a small bag that is designed to fit your essential daily carry items, but not big enough to fit larger items. The idea is the less stuff you carry, the more you can be present and experience the world around you! Disconnect to connect to things that matter. :)

You can see it at www.hyphenate.life!

I enjoy my weekends by working on some wood projects, surfing, reading, or finding local places to check out!

PHILOSOPHY

Everything is meaningless without love.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Loving more than judging.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted only a few times before. The CS community has truly been a blessing and I love meeting new people! I still keep in touch with most of the people I've stayed with and it's the best feeling to know that I have friends all over the world now because of the time we shared thanks to Couchsurfing!

Interests

I love anthropology, history, and fashion and hope to publish a paper or book someday!

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a 90's kid so all the oldies and I love [lyrical] hip hop, jazz, and rap.

I generally like sci-fi, foreign, or over-the-top action movies. John Wick is awesome.

I love all books. I can spend all day in a library reading all sorts of random goodies.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

For my 28th birthday, I went to Svalbard, Norway to recharge from being burned out from work. On the day of my birthday, I went dog sledding into the Polar night with just the pack of huskies and my guide. When I got back into town that afternoon, I leisurely checked out all the souvenir shops in the area and made my way to Restaurant Kroa where I had invited a dozen new friends that I had met on the plane, at the hostel, and around the area. Almost everyone made it out! We enjoyed a laughter-filled meal of all of Svalbards unique tastes: whale, reindeer, wild berries. The newly re-married couple I had met on the flight got me a birthday card and a Svalbard souvenir shirt! After dinner we went to Karlsberger Pub, known for their selection of whiskeys and cognacs, and we had a merry time till who knows when because the sun never comes up there.
To cap off the night, I went back to my hostel and was able to see and capture the Aurora Borealis gleaming behind the mountain and glowing eerily over the silent snow.

Best birthday ever.
