About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Trying to get accustomed to Swiss way of life

ABOUT ME

What I do for a living is pushing some buttons, pulling some levers and shouting out at mindless machines to make them add two numbers. That's why I have a hunger for interacting people and being in motion. :)
I like being spontaneous from time to time. Sticking with a plan may turn out to be so boring. Improvising can sometimes save the day and can be genuinely enjoyable.
I like learning others' views, thoughts about anything.
I try to keep my curiosity alive at all times, especially when I'm traveling, seeing new places and meeting new people.

PHILOSOPHY

Let some quotes speak for me:
"Live another day, climb a little higher, find another reason to stay..."
"To live! Like a tree alone and free
Like a forest in brotherhood"
"There are only two ways to live your life: One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle." I prefer the latter.
"Winamp, it really whips the llama's ass!"

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I participate by doing the best I can to make people happy. That's the way I become happy, as well.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I hosted few foreign people when I was living in Ankara (capital of Turkey). I had some surfing experience in Japan, Poland and Sweden. Each one of them was unique and awesome.

Interests

Traveling to places that I've never been before, observing people and witnessing their way of living and traditions. Sharing my experiences, knowledge, belongings and most of the time just a smile with people.
Climbing, mountain biking, kendo, swimming are some hobbies of mine. Right now, I try to ride bike and swim when I find time.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Things that I did when I was in the mountaineering club at university; climbs, camps, trainings. Being on a mountain, experiencing those tough conditions is itself a very amazing thing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach anything that I know well. For example Turkish, how to drink Turkish raki, how to make Turkish coffee, how to keep your balance on a stationary bike, how to do Vulcan salute with both hands and several boring stuff about computers.
I'd really like to learn anything, especially related with some different culture.
I can share anything that I own if you are honest and trustworthy enough.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, France, Hungary, India, Italy, Japan, Macedonia, Nepal, Netherlands, Norway, Pakistan, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Thailand

Countries I’ve Lived In

Switzerland, Turkey
