About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Mindful hedonism. Learn, Love, Live.

ABOUT ME

I work at a medium sized non-profit, here in Boston. I'm picking up song writing again, studying for an insipid standardized test, traveling, hanging with friends, and planning for future philanthropic ventures.

All I want to do with my life is learn, create music and other forms of art, and travel. But, some of us have to make a living, so I'm studying to become a teacher.

PHILOSOPHY

"We might die from medication, but we sure killed all the pain."

-Conor Oberst

"In these bodies we will live, in these bodies we will die.
Where you invest your love, you invest your life."

-Mumford and Sons

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

When I lived in Korea, I hosted a few surfers and ended up being hosted by them later on. I've never had a bad or mediocre experience with a CS surfer and I'm looking forward to getting my own place again so I can host in the States.

Interests

Having conversations over coffee with my mom and dad.

Having conversations over whisky with my friends.

Sports: (American) Football and basketball primarily.

Also, liberal women who seldom talk politics and hikes.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm into non-fiction by Chuck Klosterman and fiction by Chuck Palahniuk. My favorite poet is (by far) Allen Ginsberg.

Right now, I'm definitely on a folk-rock kick: Mumford and Sons, Bright Eyes and the Decemberists, mainly. But, I also like seeing live jazz and local indie rock bands.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seen: A geisha walking the streets of Kyoto. My friend and I followed her for a couple blocks, but eventually realized it was rude to gawk.

Done: Overlooked Paris from the Eiffel Tower. It was epic.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Japan, Netherlands

Countries I’ve Lived In

South Korea, United States
