About Me

CURRENT MISSION

extend my current lifestyle as long as possible, especially enjoying the very special people that it brought into my life!

ABOUT ME

My name is Andrea. My passport says I'm Dutch, but I'm not really sure about that anymore. I was born and raised in Belgium in a Dutch family, a small Dutch island, surrounded by Flemish culture (which is complete different). After graduating from high school, I immediately moved to Amsterdam to start my harp studies at the conservatory. It felt like coming home, not because of the Dutch culture and people around (because to them, I spoke odd Flemish-Dutch), but because of the spirit of the musicians around me and all the nationalities that are around. I felt like a 'foreigner' again, but this time it is the best feeling ever, because of the open environment. It is what I enjoy most about my life in Amsterdam.
A study at conservatory is challenging, you are constantly looking at yourself and you know the learning process will never end, which is the best and the worst part of this occupation at the same time.
Life long learning is something to be looking forward to. I hate being bored, and I am sure that won't happen quickly to me :-)

Teach, Learn, Share

I found that one of the most valuable things to have in life is something you feel you want to live for: a dream, a hobby, name it a passion, a big love...
Far from everyone has such a thing in his/her life, it is something to be really grateful for and it would be such a shame if you were not to not follow this urge, even against all odds.
For me it has been the biggest step into the direction of becoming really happy!
