About Me

I'm pretty easy to get along with. I'm very curious and (almost) always ready to try new things! I guess that's why I love traveling! So usually, I tend to like open-minded, curious and fun people (I know, that's a little dull to say, but what the hell...). I love people with a good sense of humor that don't take themselves too seriously :)

For other stuff that I like, I guess you can keep on reading the other parts of my profile!

I'm usually kind of an optimistic person.

Here is how I live my life:
"Don't do to people things that you wouldn't like people to do to you."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think CouchSurfing is awesome and it gives me hope in human kind.

I discovered it through a friend while traveling to the US and we got to hang out with so many nice and cool people during a month, I was amazed by the experience. I've renewed the experienced a few times since then.

I moved to San Francisco, USA a couple years ago for work. Lived there for 2 years and during that time, I was an active member of the local CS community. It was great to meet interesting local people as well as to show travellers around!
Got some interesting and fun experiences out of it. Hosted a few CSers at that time.

I've moved to different countries since and didn't really take time to host again, but I should try to remedy that :)

Interests

Big fan of TV shows!
Watched so many that I can't list them all, but some of my favorites include: Breaking Bad, The Walking Dead, Fringe, Battlestart Galactica, Game of Thrones, The Big Bang Theory...

I also enjoy watching good movies, although there's SO many good (classic) ones that I've never seen!

Used to watch The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.

Apart from this kind of entertainment, I love traveling (was that really worth mentioning? lol), food, sciency stuff, playing & listing to music (I play some guitar and ukulele and also I used to play the keyboard).

I really like photography and I enjoy taking pictures of landscapes mostly.

Oh yeah, and I love video games! I actually used to work in the industry :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Some movies I really liked : The Constant Gardener, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, Garden State, Welcome to Gattaca...

Music: Audioslave, The Killers, QOTSA, Death Cab For Cutie, Ellen Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Cole Porter, Diana Krall, Bing Crosby, BB King, Steevie Ray Vaughan, The Blues Brothers... and also more recent stuff but I haven't updated this part of my profile and ages! Basically, I like a lot of styles.

Some of my favorite tv shows : Arrested Development, Scrubs, 30 Rock, Dexter, Breaking Bad, Games of Throne, Death Valley, Reaper, The IT Crowd, New Girl...
I've watched so many tv shows now that it's hard to keep track!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well, amazing is a pretty subjective thing and I don't think Hollywood will be shooting a motion picture about my life story anytime soon but some cool things that I can remember:

In Reunion Island I went to see the remainings of a lava flow from 2 years before and that was still smoking... pretty amazing stuff :D

The Grand Canyon in helicopter... just jaw dropping (the music they play in you headphone probably adds to the whole experience: it was the theme from 2001 space odyssey!)

Cruised on the Halong Bay in Vietnam and felt like I was in a movie. Great scenery!

I participated in the 4th of July's parade in Washington DC and was on national tv! I love Couchsurfing! Thanks Jordan!

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I'm french, so I can probably teach you french :)
Technically, I also learned german in school, but I don't think I remember enough of it to pretend I can teach you that also !

I could teach you one or two simple tunes on a piano, guitar or an harmonica, but nothing really impressive... (sadly, i stopped taking piano lessons a while ago and am not disciplined enough to keep practicing)

I could teach you some basics of how to take nice pictures maybe? Or tell you about the countries I've visited or lived in :)

If you're having any kind of computer problem, I'm you're guy ! (that's kind of my job)

If you like food, I could probably make you some crêpes, raspberry tiramisu or event better : A GOOD MEAL OF TARTIFLETTE !! (unless I'm in the US, in which case I can't cause the cheese of this recipe is illegal here...)
yummy.
