About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding my spot in the world

ABOUT ME

As most of us in this community my current life purpose if to experience the world in all its shades until my time here is over. I realized while doing Erasmus in Italy and living abroad for the first time, that there was not a place that I could call ¨home¨, so I was pushed to move constantly, collecting small pieces of memory to make up for the lacking of attachment to a single place.

PHILOSOPHY

"If you end up with a boring, miserable life because you listened to your mom, your dad, your teacher, your priest, or some guy on television telling you how to do your shit, then you deserve it"... Frank Zappa

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

The CS meetings that take place in many cities around the world are also a great tool, I've been already to some in Europe and South America and some of them have been memorable.

I've surfed and hosted as well, and I can't count how many awesome people I've stumbled with thanks to this community

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not only you get a place to sleep... But also you share with people willing to share their space with you, to show you around, tag you along with their friends to hangout even when they are busy with their own lives.

I've been hosted and hosted all kinds of people from families, lonely individuals and older couples, alcoholics and drug dealers, gay and straight, a Brazilian mother who taught me how to dance samba and drink cachaça until 51, a 40 year old guy who was going to cross the pacific hitchhiking a shipping boat from Panama to Australia, a rich family who gave me and three friends a whole house for us to stay; people who offered me food, money and a job; hookups and friends; a house full of artists that would party, drink and smoke weed every day of the week, the coolest sichuanese dude, a Taiwanese nurse who saved me from intense beetlenut juice stomach pain, and so many other pieces of life of amazing people in the planet

Interests

Backpacking, rock music, learning new languages (or some bad words at least) all types of arts, party and 慢慢来

Music, Movies, and Books

Music- mainly classic rock, blues and indie but i always enjoy other types of music as well specially when it comes from people I meet randomly on the streets.

Movies- I enjoy deep and dense movies that make me question my existence and my life from directors like Lynch and Aronofksy, classics of Bergman and Kubrick and sometimes empty and superficial movies to just pass the time with friends lazy on the couch

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I used to have a list of experiences on this section, but then I realized my biggest accomplishment was to have done all of them and still be here alive to talk about it .

Teach, Learn, Share

How to say cheers in different languages

What I Can Share with Hosts

Start with a beer and let it go until arguing about random stuff in a crappy bar until dawn
