About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"Live life to the fullest" Travel whenever time and money permit

ABOUT ME

Love to travel, meet people, and enjoy many different interests: photography- major interest for fun and profit, art - recently took an art history class, music - wide variety, hiking - that's why you live in the NW, camping, snow skiing, kayaking, flying light aircraft and flight instructing, train travel (reading up for a Trans -Siberian trip), home coffee roasting, cooking, and many more. If you host me, I like to offer as a gift some of my home roasted coffee. It won 2nd place in a local competition!

I traveled to Iceland and Scandanavia September 09, and Costa Rica (visited a coffee co-op) in fall of 2010

PHILOSOPHY

Carpe Diem - Seize the day! Always be learning, expanding your horizons.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My couch might be open for surfing if you need a place to crash just outside Portland. I can also show people around, especially if you are interested in visiting some of the nearby hot springs, or other hiking / camping areas.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music - pretty much anything except rap or old school country. Even classical.
Books - wide variety of non-fiction (especially travel), although I did make an exception for "The Shack".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My 2003 trip to Russia, E. Europe, and France was really amazing, and has made me want to travel as much as possible. Other places visited - Iceland, Sweden, Finland in 2009, and Costa Rica in 2010, visited a coffee plantation that sells coffee to Peets.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to: Fly airplanes, find the very best airfare, take great photographs, hike to very cool places, make a great shot of espresso, roast your own coffee beans, and show you the best places to hike or camp in this great part of the world!

What I Can Share with Hosts
