ABOUT ME

I recently traveled to Washington, DC and New York and learned that requesting couches can be difficult during certain times. So I plan to host surfers as often as I can.
I love soccer and movies. I haven't played soccer since November 2010 due to an injury on my left ankle; it still hurts at times :( Nonetheless, I have never stopped watching movies. I was going to major in Filmmaking, but opted for Psychology. I was born and raised in Monterrey, Mexico until the age of 15. Then, I relocated to Houston, USA, where I have been too long :) I have learned to appreciate the different cultures. I consider myself a cultural relativist and a peace maker. I will probably be the easiest person to get along with. I'm very understanding. I'm all about peace, living in harmony and minimizing all pain as much as possible.

PHILOSOPHY

"Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle" --Plato.
I believe that there is enough suffering already in the world.
The very least I can do is smile, which I do very often. Most people think I'm a nice guy and I am. I can also be silly or goofy. I hope to become a professional clown some day :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

It just so happened that I have been hosting more than surfing. I have hosted different surfers; they all have been really cool and positive experiences. I recently participated in my first CS meeting here in Houston. It was amazing. I plan to join their activities more often.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I recently took a roadtrip to NYC and surfed with 5 different people; they were all welcoming and cool:)
My first couch surfing experience, however, was in April 2009. I was hosted by my fabulous friend Sarah in London. She is one of the coolest persons I have met, who happened to teach me great lessons.

兴趣

Talking to and learning from people and their traveling experiences. I find incredible how some people choose to travel for long periods of time. I like making friends, philosophy, social psychology and playing music.

Most Quentin Tarantino movies, including Pulp Fiction, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2. Also, Memento, Arlington Road, the Village, the Sixth Sense, Amores Perros and most of the movies, where the actors wear any type of masks. If I ever make a movie, I will have a scene with masks.
Spanish Rock Musin and Regional/Mexicana.
Mainly text books, never or rarely fiction.

I have some knowledge and experience in Psychology, psychological issues or people with mental illness. I try to understand people's behavior as much as I can. I try to be good to people. I bring to this world trust, loyalty and reliability. I hope to teach everyone to live a peaceful and meaniingful life as I experience it myself.
