About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finishing my master's thesis!

ABOUT ME

A few things about me:

I love life and pleasure, so that makes me a hedonist.
I love good food, so that makes me an epicurean.
I love academia, so that makes me a nerd.

But most importantly, I love to travel, see the world, and meet new people!

PHILOSOPHY

My motto is: Fortes fortuna adiuvat, which means "Fortune favors the bold."

I live in the moment and I usually take risks and create opportunities for myself, including doing short-term and long-term traveling. I believe that I am fortunate in life because of how I approach life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

If you already have a place to stay or I can't host for whatever reason, I would be happy to get together and show you around!

Also, I work at two art museums and I know how museum admissions can be expensive in New York, so I'd be happy to get you in for free *and* give you a personal tour. :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first couchsurfing experience took place in the Middle East, when I traveled there for two months in the spring of 2009. I stay with different hosts from Turkey all the way to Egypt and each experience was very different but they all were amazing! Most importantly, I made new friends!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I can't choose one thing, but most of the amazing things I have seen and done were while traveling.

Ask and I shall share the first amazing, crazy, or bad thing that pops in my mind. :)

Teach, Learn, Share

This is difficult, as it all depends on the person!

But one of the many things I can teach you how to spell your name in American Sign Language and British Sign Language (yes, they are quite different!)...

What I want to learn is how to cook different local dishes. If you can't cook, that's okay, there are many other things I want to learn, anyway. :)

There are many things I would love to share... stories, advice, knowledge, skills... and the wonders of life.
