Hello nice to meet you!

My name is Emma and over the past 5+ years I've spent most of my time travelling around the world. Originally from Australia, I spent 3 years chasing summer in Asia, Europe, North America and Australia, picking up work along the way, then almost 3 years ago I settled in New Zealand to work as an international flight attendant.

Travel is my passion and I love to meet new people while experiencing the world. I love to take photos, enjoy a hike in beautiful surroundings, am always up for yummy food and am at home anywhere by the water. I'm very down to earth and laid back and like to have a laugh with friends.

In January/February 2018 I am planning to go to Scandinavia to chase the northern lights, hopefully meet some new friends and explore some places I haven't been before.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I met a lot of people involved in couch surfing while I have traveled and they inspired me to participate. I've met up with people in Europe and surfed with hosts all over the US and LOVED it. When I'm at home I try to host, meet up with travelers, give out advice and offer rideshares.

I love the sense of feeling at home in a city or town you've never been to before, and have made so many great friends through CS and hope it continues to be such a wonderful, friendly and authentic community.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Its impossible to list just one! Running with the bulls in Pamplona, skydiving over Byron Bay, hot-air ballooning in Cappadocia, camping under the stars in the White Desert of Egypt, snorkelling in the Red Sea, floating in the Dead Sea, sliding down sand dunes in Jordan, sunrise at Ankor Wat and Machu Picchu, sunset at the Taj Mahal, partying in the Greek Islands, Las Vegas and Ibiza, hiking on a crumbling section of the Great Wall of China and booking the next adventure!

Teach, Learn, Share

I like connecting people, sharing travel tools and tips. I'm ok with a computer too. I'm good with kids and like to help around the house cooking and cleaning. I like to pick up bits of information about the places I go and love being able to share that with others.

I have some insider tips to share if you are interested in becoming a flight attendant, and can give you advice on travel planning and destinations.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to cook or bake for hosts, make cocktails and help out with cleaning or any other chores around the house. If you're not so tech-savvy I can help out with any projects you're doing on the computer too, and I can help you book flights or search for information about travel.
