I'm interested in more than I could ever possibly find the time to really explore and I recently realized that all these options have been distracting me for years. I've been yearning for a more simplified life, with less of something else I could be doing and more of doing whatever I am doing. I'm considering moving to a smaller community at some stage to help me achieve this and for now I've been allowing myself to be fed by the things immediately available to me without as much interference from all the possibilities.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It works for me. I've used it to travel all over the place, and I've met some of the most important people in my life while doing it.

Interests

Riding bikes and reading books or walking around in grocery stores, markets, or anyplace that has food for sale. I sometimes eat three or five free samples in a single day (this golden-bellied good fortune almost always falls on a Saturday) and I participate in a gift-based economy whenever I can. I made you these cookies. Sure, yeah, I like arugula. Thank you.

I love pop jams.

I enjoy writing, cooking with a crowd, oriental rugs, murphy beds, hack permaculture, anything that acts as a large scale open forum, biking around, walking and camping, music that sounds like it was recorded in the sixties, music that was recorded in the sixties, music that was not and does not sound like it was recorded in the sixties, untainted food, water, other beverages, a clean towel, typewritten notes, a small carrot and a full jar of almond butter, a large carrot and any jar of almond butter, and all of the connections we establish through so many means.
