COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have slept on many a couch, and aim to return the favour whenever I can. I have just left the space that has been my home for the last year, and will embrace the nomadic lifestyle again.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I was staying in a squatted lace factory in Nottingham one stormy night. The building was on a hill and the balcony on the top floor was one of the tallest points in the city. I could see for miles in every direction.

There was a great energy that evening. The air was electric and I could feel it on my skin. Before long, the rain started to pelt down like a million bullets. Strikes of lightning started to crack from all directions and the sound of thunder rolled over my head and echoed into the distance.

I stepped onto the balcony and was instantly soaked. I could feel my hair rising away from my head as I spread my arms. I had never felt more alive.

The next thing I saw was the brightest rainbow, which formed no more than a few hundred feet away from me. I could see both ends, which rested on 2 houses opposite our building, forming a perfect multi-coloured arch. The excitement and beauty of the moment was overpowering. I began to laugh uncontrollably.

Later I realised I must of been stood on top of a pot of gold.

I know a lot about computers, and am able to train people in software and fix computer problems. I am also a creative designer and can create professional websites and graphics.

I am keen to encourage other people towards a vegan lifestyle, as it benefits humans, other animals and our environment. I am often involved in mass-catering projects such as "food not bombs", "people's kitchen" or cooking at cafes.

I'm really keen to learn practical skills such as gardening (especially permaculture), carpentry, plumbing, electrics etc... It's really important that we all learn lots of skills and are able to support each other without relying on profiteers and specialists.
