ABOUT ME
I grew up in England (London to be exact) but moved to Australia in 2002 with my (same-sex) Australian partner. I am based in Brisbane, Queensland but am currently on an extended visit back to the UK and living in sunny Leeds.
I am travelling to the USA and Mexico in June/July 2009 and am hoping to have my first couch-surfing experience in Mexico. I am learning spanish and would love to be able to practise this while in Mexico.
I am vegan and interested in animal rights and delicious vegan food. I'm interested to hear about vegan activities all over the world. I am also a self-proclaimed expert on vegan dining in Southern California so if you're after some advice please let me know.
I am passionate about gay rights, animal rights, human rights and social justice.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I think CS is a brilliant, subversive idea. I don't have a couch at the moment but when my partner and I return to Brisbane in the second half of 2009 we hope to have a place where we can accommodate couch-surfers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed for one night in New York which was great. Also planning on surfing in Mexico in June 2009.
I'm open to any sort of experience... whether it is someone just letting me crash for a night or whether I stay for a few days and someone shows me around the place where they live.
