ABOUT ME

In process of updating profile, back in Ireland for 4 years after returning from NZ.

I am Irish, I spent almost 10yrs in NZ after falling in love with the country on a working holiday. I have spent most of my time there working as a Zoologist. I now work as a guide, for a company and freelance.

PHILOSOPHY

Live a full, rich and happy life. Surround yourself with interesting people, only do work that you love, and love passionately.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have joined this to give people some of the "Kiwi welcome" I received when I came here all alone 10 years ago. I was staggered by peoples generosity and kindness and always felt that when the time was right, I could do the same. I also love meeting new people and have great wanderlust.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Overall as a host I have found CS to be wonderful. I am more than happy to share my home, advice, time, friends etc with people-it is much appreciated by me that my guests contribute too-a bottle of wine, a meal cooked-things like this all add to everyone's pleasure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

White water rafting on Tully river Oz.
Scuba diving on Barrier Reef, Oz.
Saw a baby Kiwi being hand fed-he was woken up from his slumber and was falling asleep on the girl's lap while she tried to feed him, mega cute!
Surfing with Hector's dolphins in Curio Bay, NZ
Survived a bull stampede!
Playing with a very rare female Hooker sea lion pup
Watching yellow eyed penguins feeding their chicks (at work!!)
