ABOUT ME

Came to Canada[65] to meet the smart engineers who have an answer to take care of nuclear waste! Did not meet a single one able to assure me of the same and so I became an anti-nuclear activist and was the first Ontarian to oppose the building of the Pickering Nuclear stations planned in 1970s.
Attended- Earth Summit- Rio 92,HabitatII- Istanbul 96, Hague Appeal for Peace- 99, WSSD- Johannesberg 02, World Social Forum - Nairobi 06 etc.
First past the post is blatently unfair!

PHILOSOPHY

No point in focussing on a hefty bank balance, when the planet is in danger. At one time hundreds of miners used to jump out of the mine when the canary died, but we are little disturbed when millions of fishes are missing etc. We better accept our historical planetary moment as if we are the miners trapped in a mine when the canary is dead!

As a novice in this community, I have yet to learn the ropes and enjoy the company of foot loose world citizens or at least on the way to becoming world citizens.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

May 1999: Walked from Hague to Brussels with 500 Peace activists in 2 weeks - fed fully with vegan food, while NATO was bombing Yugoslavia! 262 were arrested while I photographed, just in case!
