About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Do the Oz!

ABOUT ME

University student (in French literature, more precisely theatre.)
Doing my PhD (starting to write the thesis, it's gonna be a long journey!), but still getting out of town if I can!

I have never been too good at describing myself , but I guess I juste like to meet people, finding out about other cultures, while trying to take life as it goes, not too seriously, while it's still possible !

PHILOSOPHY

I don't really have "a" philosophy...I guess it's just about living and enjoying life as much as we can, isn't it ?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Try to meet new people, tell my friends about CS, keep the eyes and mind open.

Hosting is a bit difficult right now because I live in a tiny flat (my couch is actually an armchair!), but if you're REALLY in trouble, it could be doable.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have surfed in many places in Spain, France, Belgium, Scotland, Czech Republic and Morocco and it was always great. There's nice people everywhere !

Interests

Reading, music, movies, theater, art, cooking, going out, being outside, outdoor activities, drinking a beer with friends, meeting new people, take a coffee on a sunny terrasse, sometimes even sports !

Music, Movies, and Books

Now's the time for name-dropping...

Music : Beatles, Radiohead, Jean Leloup, Les Colocs, Manson, Portishead, Massive Attack, Gotan Project, Brel, Brassens, Beastie Boys, Ariane Moffatt, Beast, Bloc Party, Boris Vian, Franz Ferdinand, John Lennon, Harmonium, Streetlight Manifesto, Tryo, Pink Floyd, Polémil Bazar, Sigur Ros, Nirvana, The Doors, Gorillaz...

Movies : movies by Tim Burton, the Coen brothers, Wong-Kar Wai, Terrence Malick, Quentin Tarantino, Jim Jarmusch, Chan-wook Park, Denys Arcand, Lafleur, Innaritu...and many, many more (I would be studying cinema if I wasn't studying litterature)

Books : Poe, Borges, Baudelaire, Rimbaud, Camus, Portrait of Dorian Gray, Boris Vian, Les fleurs bleus, Exercices de Style, Balzac, Beckett, Ionesco, Brecht, Chaurette, Cocteau, Wajdi Mouawad, Shakespeare, Aquin, Dostoïevski, Faulkner, Proust, Joyce...

These kind of things could actually go on and on and on, so I'll stop now...but you get the point.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to juggle, actually ! I really like circus (like, I've been finding out at 20 years old that I would've liked to be a circus artist...a bit too late isn't it?), so I'm trying my best as a hobby. Beware, because I'm not THAT good, but I can give you a heads up.
Not really teaching, but exchanging cooking recipes is also great.
And, obviously, I can show you around a couple places in Montreal.
I can also teach you french if you teach me your langage!
