About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To fill my life with beautiful people and experiences - working out pretty well so far!
ABOUT ME
Life is a glorious journey! I love traveling, meeting people, filling my life with amazing experiences! I traveled a great deal in the US in my youth as part of the hippie nomadic culture. I spent 10 weeks traveling -mostly by myself- in South America (Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia) in 1999, which was a profoundly interesting experience. There is so much more to be seen in the world!!
A little summation of the "type" of person I am: politically and socially liberal. A big fan of the natural world. I am a pescetarian, love coffee, red wine and sweet baked goods, more so if they're chocolatey. I enjoy dancing, hiking, exploring urban areas on foot. I like taking photographs but wouldn't even qualify as amateur. I love odd, unusual and surreal things/events, like unexpected art, guerilla theatre, nomadic punk circuses...
Maybe most relevant to the Couchsurfing community: Personal responsibility is pretty important to me. I strive to be respectful, considerate and an open communicator. I am pretty mellow, clean up after myself and pitch in where needed.
PHILOSOPHY
Move through the world with an open heart and generous spirit and your path will be, not smooth, but meaningful and full of Beauty.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In community I try to volunteer where needed. For some reason this often involves food, whether doing supply for the US Annual Rainbow Gathering or kitchen crew for local fundraisers in my town. I find that getting involved often results in the best personal connections.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have slept on a number of couches for a number of reasons throughout my life...nothing with capitals though...just plain couch-surfing.
Interests
Hiking, tide-pooling, generally exploring the world, be it urban or wild, movies, reading, being aware of what is happening in the world and working towards making it a better one.
