About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Circumnavigate the Globe.

ABOUT ME

I am a recent graduate in music, having worked for a year in a charity run cafe. I have dual nationality by descent with Australia, though I have only been there twice, however can't wait to go back. Here's me on Face Book being a real person and doing person things. https://www.facebook.com/michael.fresson

PHILOSOPHY

Everybody's equal, talk to everyone, try to do something good for someone else everyday. Wear Sunscreen. Ignore the rest of Baz Luhrmann's advice.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

travel/host using couchsurfing, spread the good word amongst those i come across in everyday life and people interested in travelling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

A week or two kindly hosted in Paris by Mike Russo. A couple of Last-minute deals in New York and Boston, both from lovely, friendly guys. But otherwise not much.

Interests

Music, travel, life, beer, good food, and plenty of it, art.
Very interested in reading, especially novels.
Making references to things fifteen years out of date.

Music, Movies, and Books

Musical tastes are huge for me, I love Rock, Alternative stuff, Jazz, Classical. I try to approach everything with an open mind.
Some authors I like are Oscar Wilde, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Terry Pratchett, Arthur Conan Doyle, Jack Kerouac, J.R.R. Tolkein, John Green, Hemingway, Sebastian Faulks, Mordecai Richler, among others.
Put me in front of any movie that isn't a Horror/Slasher style thing and I'll like it, otherwise there will be embarrassed pillow hugging. Plus anything by Wes Anderson I love.
And as for TV I'm a huge comedy fan of, among other stuff, things like Parks & Rec, Archer, Futurama, Adventure Time, Doctor Who, Sherlock, and Firefly.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Uluru (a.k.a. Ayers Rock) at Sunset.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can play drums and some percussion and would be very willing to impart this knowledge onto anyone who is learning. I can also play a little Piano and Guitar and would be happy to teach whatever I could. I can also cook reasonably, but I can make some very good fudge. I could teach English as a language if it's your second language.
Finally I love to talk about history and know a certain amount already and I'm always keen to learn.
