ABOUT ME

Widowed 18yrs ago. Have 3 of a family. Son in christchurch,industrial electrcian, a daughter in Dunedin, nursing, a son in Invercargill saw mill worker. Started my working life in the building industry, was involved in education, life on a farm. Now in amenity hort, parks and reserves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

The couch surfing is something I have done for most of my life. Having lived in Zimbabwe (Then Rhodesia) for 3 years, travelled overland Africa. Europe, UK. Then 10 years ago in Canada for 6 weeks. 8yrs ago 6 weeks in UK, and also bunking down wherever in NZ.
In all countries I end up in situations and places That I have never heard of, and have met lots and lots of people. Fantastic.

Interests

My garden keeps me busy. The world of brass bands keeps me out of mischief. Belong to Rhododendron group.
Have done some cycling. recently around Tasmania in 20 days. Have carried out a few tramps in local area.
Enjoy local threatre. Sea fishing, but don't do enough. Enjoy old time dancing.
