ABOUT ME

I am now retired and enjoy going to the gym, badminton, learning to horse ride (haven't fallen off yet and want to canter on the beach when more profficient) Also want to learn to surf. I also enjoy gardening (therapeutic) and reading. Have started to play golf but not good at all. Not really a party person. I can scuba dive (have PADI cert) but not very confident. I love all animals except rats (and maybe a few other "nasties"!!)
Please do not ask to surf my couch if you're stuck at Stansted for a day waiting for a connection. This has happened all too often. I will now only accept surfers over 50 and for a minimum of 2 nights. I do feel that couch surfing should be about getting to know each other, finding out about other cultures, discussing travel etc and learning from each other.

Planning travel - where, when, how. The "when" is usually the UK winter
I like to keep busy during the day. Read or watch TV in the evenings but NO SOAPS!! Enjoy documentaries, wildlife and discussions, some game shows where a degree of skill or intelligence is involved and travel programmes (not package holidays)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Raised 3 kids. Stayed in a Bedouin camp. Climbed Mount Sinai to see the sunrise. Stood up on a surfboard
