About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Central Asia! (And, as always: I want to be able to communicate in at least one language in each of the big European families (Germanic, Latin, Slavic and Ugric).)

ABOUT ME

In the autumn of 2012 I'm employed as a trainee at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in the Hague. For a short while longer I intend to be a student of political sciences and comparative politics with a great fascination for language, travel and general trivia.

PHILOSOPHY

Berre daud Fisk fylgjer Straumen.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a mattress to share and I'm looking forward to surf other peoples' couches.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

None so far. That is soon to change, however!

Interests

I like history, bicycling (however I'm no athlete), nature, beer in all its many flavours (including the lovely art of brewing). I love trivia and an entertaining quiz. I guess I also like geography - insofar as I can experience it through travelling :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Of music I like a lot, as long as it's not too loud. I like traditional jazz and more modern experimental sounds, I can easily enjoy pop music and quite a lot of metal. As long as the music doesn't evolve around a monotone bom-bom-bom-bom-rythm, I'm generally happy ;)

In the world of film and and TV I like informative stuff like documentaries. The preference is quite similar in books. I like fiction that is related to reality or history in some way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I seem to find amazing and awesome details almost everywhere I go. That's why I travel :D
