ABOUT ME

Hey People!

I'm Ashley, 27 years old and I live in Rotterdam (Holland)

My job is my own small business wich I run with my best friend, it's called 'RAAF' (Rotterdam-Art-Adventure-Food) this means RAVEN in dutch. It's a little piece of paradise in the middle of Rotterdam. We have a lunchroom (bar/restaurant) with veggie foods and all kinds of tea's and good coffee.

In our lunchroom we have a gallery space where we invite young artist to create expositions or projects with us. We also have a stage where we programme debate nights, movie nights, music concerts and basically...everything we like!

The last part is our information point. We want to put the South of Rotterdam on the map again. The south part is literally not on the map when you come to Rotterdam as a tourist. We think that's terrible and so one of our goals is to give as much information about all the great things you can do at this side of town.

Personal:

I hate men that look down on woman and I love people who can teach me something new. Fall is my favorite season because of the colours. I think capitalism is a bad system people should be saved from! I like making pictures with Instagram (@RAAFRotterdam) and I have a new racing bike wich I love already, I'm into yoga and pilates and love to dream about my new future house and all the crazy thing I want to do in it.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

To keep RAAF running I don't have much time for travel. We are a very small business and we just started so there isn't much money either. So I try to couchsurf this year as much as possible. In September I'm going to move to my new house so I hope I can give the favor of my couch back to other people, show them Rotterdam and have much new experiences together.
