Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Host when I can, surf when I can, and generally tell everyone I meet around the globe all about couch-surfing, its sheer awesomeness, and its prospects for bringing about world peace!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I opened my Couchsurfing account from a colorful and noisy Internet café in the Buddhist quarter of Kathmandu. It took me approximately thirty minutes to upload my profile picture, because the dialup connection kept timing out. “Just make sure you’re smiling in the photo”, recommended the German traveler I met who had first told about couch-surfing, "That way, people might actually respond to your surf-requests".
Since that ominous moment, I've hosted in Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, and Port-au-Prince, Haiti; and surfed in Vietnam, Milan, Madrid and Barcelona.
I'd love to meet new interesting people and share great stories, experiences and a couple of drinks! Le'chayim!
