traveled extensively in USA & Mexico & Central America - especially loved Guatemala - want to travel on every other continent before I geezer out - traveled to China & Andalucia, Southern France & parts of Italy (Pompei), Rome, Greece, Turkey, Carribean - not nearly enough time in any place - want to go back

too many movies & books to mention, on a Geraldine Brooks kick right now, young adult novels, Hunger Games, most kinds of music, since back to HS like to keep up on YA lit & suffer through the vampire/zombee thing/ amazed and pleasantly surprised by talents & depth of ideas of YA.

climbed an active volcano in Guatemala-ridden on the top of an an ancient school bus surrounded by all kinds of fellow travelers & guards with machine guns, seen young people achieve goals they never thought possible
