ABOUT ME

I'm an adventurer, nature and animal lover, photographer, mountain climber, and a Vegan for almost 9 years (and RAW vegan for 7 years..)
I've had an amazing year of adventures in Australia and New Zealand and I'm still dreaming of my next journey...When I'm stranded in one place I love meeting fellow travelers while basking on their adventuring spirits or joining them for an expedition or two(:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I tell a lot of people about the project (only the "right kind" of people..)
My couch is a small one, but we could make some arrangements, otherwise I love showing people around/ or go catch some waves with fellow surfers/ surfer wannabes(:

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

1.Been couch-surfing with a Maori couple in Auckland, New Zealand - it's been a great experience and an insight into an unfamiliar culture.

2. At the very moment these lines are written, I am couch surfing at a fellow surfer's house in Port Macquire, Australia. just got to know the guy but so far it's been excellent(-: (will go surfing together soon)
3. On several occasions, been "couch-surfing" not through the site (with non-members), just by getting stuck by the side of the road at the right place and time, or even meeting people at the local pub who invite me over(-:

Interests

When I wanna relax, I love a good movie or to try and get my Piano playing skills somehow close to the "good old days level"(:

Music, Movies, and Books

I'll probably forget many but here's a few of my favorites movies:
The lord of the rings, EARTHLINGS (the movie that made me go vegan), Requiem for a dream, Brave heart, Green Mile, Interview with the vampire, The Count of Monte Cristo and the list is still long...
I like many different kinds of music including:
metal, rock, celtic, spanish, jazz, blues, classical (I play the Piano as well).
I like to read mainly fantasy, suspense and science fiction books. The "Dark Tower" saga of 7 books by Stephen King was one of the best I've read...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1.Getting my skydiving license...
2.Traveling in Australia and New Zealand for a year -an amazing journey with lots of adventures.
3.Lots of mountain climbing in the dark, using only a small flashlight to light my way. (I often overdo my hikes and carry them deep into the night...)

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach:
I could teach you some surfing if the swell is good at the time..
I love photography and know quite a bit about it.
I could tell you a lot about Veganism and diet in general - I'm a well informed raw vegan(:
I'm not an expert but I love the instrument and I could teach you some piano playing(:
I'm very much into Metal (and music in general) and loves to share it.
I've done a massage course back in Australia, so I can teach some of that as well.
If you are heading "down-under" I could teach you about Australia/New Zealand more than the average Kiwi/ Aussy :)

Learn:
I'd love to know more about different cultures.
I'm always up to learning more about vegan cooking (or "uncooking")(:
