About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have fun, make friends, see the world, learn, expand horizons.

ABOUT ME

I'm 30, love linguistics, languages, travel, new cultures, food, cinema, writing, reading, meeting new people, jogging, beer, coffee, my family.

I'm easy going with a good sense of humour, and love a good chat. I'm a very social individual and am almost always in an excellent mood.

I'm a researcher in linguistics but I am also really passionate about education, and creative teaching.

I have two wonderful cats - Sperber and Wilson - who would like to meet you!

PHILOSOPHY

Whether you think you can or think you can't, you are right. You get out what you put in. Everything happens for a reason. You make your own meaning in life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am happy to host the right people (just be friendly, tolerant, and eager to exchange ideas). I also want to exchange languages with people, and explain to people what linguistics is, and what it does, and how it can be really beneficial for understanding what makes us human :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had a couple of experiences now and all were rewarding and affirmed my faith in humanity. I think this is an excellent project.

Interests

Cinema, writing poetry, linguistics research, cooking, travel, going to uni, coffee with my friends, walking, teaching, sampling nice beers, watching German TV.

Teach, Learn, Share

I will be able to teach you to write your name in phonetics. I can help you with your English. I can give you a lesson on what (and how) words mean, and what language is and does (the basics, mind). I'll share my few dvds and books with you if you visit. We can cook together. You might want to learn to cook an English breakfast or an English roast.
