About Me

CURRENT MISSION

"Life is far too important to be taken seriously"

ABOUT ME

"But I'm a million different people from one day to the next". I think people are complex. We have many faces and we are changing from one day to the next. It is hard to say who I am, because part of me is "girlish" like pink dress, part is individualist like a black cat and another is vagabond as tracking backpack.

PHILOSOPHY

George Mallory, one of the finest alpinists from the beginning of XX century, tried three times to climbe Mount Everest. He died during his last attempt in 1924. For years it was mystery if he ever reached the peak. His body was found in 1999 on the hight of 8000 m. There are no evidence if he ever climbed to the top.

One day when they asked Mallory, why he wanted to climbe Everest, he replied "Because it exists".

Maybe life is not about reaching the peak, but about dreaming and trying...?

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

What I really love in CS is it's people. You can always come back to see Eiffel tower or have picture with sphinx . But by doing only such things you can miss real fun. Maybe I have fail in achieving some touristic major points but I believe I've done so much fun. So people of CS and some other good fellows thank you for:
- opportunity of eating Ramadan diner with your family,
-preparing a performance for kids about ancient Rome in Serbia,
-drinking so called "jugo del amor prohibido" ( I am still figuring out what it was;) from some unknown source in Equador,
-trying perfect Kaiserschmarrn,
- going to my first concert of psychodelic rock in Brescia.
And many, many more.

Interests

Mainly three good things: people, books and food ( I am on a Come cook and eat as well: http://www.comecookandeat.org/#/profile/104 )

Also I love sport- that felling of beeing so tired, dirty sweaty and so happy at the same time. At the moment I am moment I am martial art and zumba lover.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love "Master and Margarita". It is never boring to read it again.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Before I would look for something exotic and sophisticated, but now I think a best thing actually happened to me in Poland. I was in Bieszczady Mountains, hiking with backpack One night we were sleeping in Chatka Puchata „Winnie the Pooh Cottage” (one of those amazing places with no electricity or running water). In the morning with a friend we took a slippery path down the hill to the stream which was a bathroom as well. We had load, loads of fun sliding down and then washing ourselves in an icy-cold water. In the middle of toothbursing we noticed we had companion. Two meters away a deer was having his breakfast. He had absolutely no problem with our presence. Afterward we learned that his name was “Jacek” and his “district” was near the cottage. Although he was a wild animal he was used to people. I am really happy I had this honor to meet him in person:).

Story I wrote when I registered on CS:

When I was preparing for the trip to Ecuador I found polish missionary. We had a conversation on skype. It would be nothing special but he was in the middle of amazon jungle. Also it was a time of carnival and they have there a tradition to sprinkle their neighbours with water in that time. So we were talking, someone was trying to put a bucket of water on the top of missionarys head. He was shouting something to them in spanish, loughing and trying to talk with me in Polish- hilarious effect!

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn belly dance and salsa

I love experimenting in kitchen so I can teach how to cook something (also Polish traditional cuisine).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can tell you my stories but I will also listen carefully to yours :).
I can cook or we can cook together (I prefer second option, it is more interesting).

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, Egypt, Germany, Greece, Italy, Macedonia, Serbia, Slovakia, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, United Kingdom
