About Me

CURRENT MISSION

keep on writing, keep on filming and researching. A lazy perfectionist filmmaker with low tolerance for compromise and for low standards sold as gold, which is frankly one of the worst mix ever. But then again, maybe I will end up finding my unknown grandfather who's hopefully a famous rich director himself so that he can pay my career and introduce me into the right circle, or at least pay for some good crew members

ABOUT ME

Marco, 45, born and lived in Milan for long, now in Berlin for 15 years. I am focusing on photography a lot these days, opening a decent darkroom, running a screen printing lab, finishing an old film project, while working here and there and coaching basketball teams, female basketball in the last 8 years indeed.
I sing in a loud and annoying band called The Disgrazia Legend (www.facebook.com/thedisgrazialegend), I love to travel, play shows, meet new faces and see new places, from the big cities to the small unknown villages. I like to hang out with friends. I play basketball myself since I was 5. I studied at the Milan State University, my major was Film theory, then I stopped studying and moved to Germany for whatever reason. I also worked as a web/graphic designer for many years, sometimes it was fun sometimes it was a pain in the ass, hence me not doing it anymore. I take photos, I love my old Konica cameras and my lenses, some photos even come out well.
What else? well, I like movies, old movies too, documentaries, history, poetry and to write down my memories for the future wasted generations. I guess that pretty much is what's there to say, the rest of my life is full of scary secrets.. addio.

PHILOSOPHY

I like to meet new people from different cultures, late night discussions, walks around my city and other cities, silent nights passed in old historical areas, I'm friendly and I'm always down to help nice people, as much as I can, it depends on the schedule of course. I like people who share their inner dreams and views, people who are open-minded and aware of what's going on in this world and develop a political consciousness.
I believe in a d.i.y. ethic and in mutual help, I don't dig snobby cool people that much, actually I try to pass my time with people that inspire me and have something interesting to say.
I love hiking and exploring the mountains and the seas, I am often with my dog in the forests in and out Berlin, but way less often than I should.

I hate doing what everybody does and I try to keep it as a principle, without being too tough about it.

On a side note my humor is a bit sarcastic and bitter/outspoken at times, it's not that bad, but apparently some people don't like this kind of jokes, so be aware! it's not my fault, it's just the way I am, silly and crazy sometimes. Marty Feldman and John Belushi are two fundamental role models in my life, so to speak.
