About Me

CURRENT MISSION

trying to think of something to write

ABOUT ME

Okay, Hi!, I'm here on CS to travel, connect and have fun. I work as a green design and construction consultant and am looking to host - my apartment is accessible to NYC if you need a place to crash I have several couches. I'm up for shorter visits too, like coffee or drinks. Give a shout!

PHILOSOPHY

Be civil to all; sociable to many; familiar with few; friend to one; enemy to none. Benjamin was such a gentle man.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't hosted yet but have CS'ed in eastern Europe a while back and recently in Toronto. I'm not traveling abroad much now so I'd love to host! I'm 60 minutes from Bradley International Airport and 90 minutes from NYC (approx 3 hrs from NYC airports).

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I wish I heard of CS'ing sooner! I first heard of it from a guy in Peru. I thought he just meant random house stays and I thought he was off his rocker. I checked it out later and traveled through Europe on the CS network. I have only found hosts to be thoughtful interesting people. Don't prove me wrong!

Interests

Ideally I'd live between the mountains and the ocean... but I live in southern CT, go figure!! I'm a biophilic at heart.

Music, Movies, and Books

~ Movies: nothing too scary, I've gotten soft. Arrested Development is pretty good, one of those flix you can always watch the reruns. Same with Always Sunny in Philladelphia - what characters! HA!!

~Music: wide range, probably between de la Soul to Deep Banana Blackout, lots of good smaller, local artists doing it cuz they love it, which is AWESOME! Many local venues I should support more. So you should come and check 'em out!

~Books: 'The Places Inbetween' is a great read. The most amazing travel story ever! Non-fiction, a Scottman embarks across Afganistan in 2002,bound to cross the country - 'nuf said! Read the book!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Sailed oceans and climbing mountains - had the privilege to mountaineer in Peru but nearly lost a good friend. Same trip we hailed a taxi filled with one large animal. The taxi driver was thoughtful and put it on the roof :0 That counts as one thing right?

Teach, Learn, Share

Check out New Haven! Great food, drink and music. I love the farmers market on Saturday! It's worth a stop over in southern CT! FYI Connecticut has some amazing small dairy farmers i.e AWESOME CHEESE!!

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Costa Rica, Croatia, Hungary, Peru

Countries I’ve Lived In

United States
