About Me
Hey there!
I'm a 32-year-old Brazilian translator, editor, and researcher, originally from São Paulo and now calling Rio de Janeiro home for the past 13 years.
I’ve recently reconnected with Couchsurfing, both as a host and a guest, after taking some time away from the platform.
My first Couchsurfing adventure in August 2009 took me through Germany and Spain for two weeks, a pivotal journey en route from Brazil to Japan, where I lived as an exchange student for a year. At 17, it was my first time flying and immersing myself in a foreign culture.
In early 2011, after returning to Brazil, I moved to Rio to pursue my studies. I completed my undergraduate degree in Theater Theory and later earned a master's degree in Literature. During those initial years in Rio, Couchsurfing played a vital role in helping me acclimate and build connections. However, amidst the whirlwind of work and personal commitments, I gradually drifted away from the platform... Until 2023.
Last year, a trip across Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, and Germany reminded me why I valued Couchsurfing so much – not just for the platform itself but its unique ability to foster meaningful connections and offer diverse experiences. Recently, after moving to a new place, I've reignited my passion for hosting, which has been incredibly rewarding.
