About Me

CURRENT MISSION

avoid falling into the routine

ABOUT ME

... as the mexican saying goes: "Soy un hombre común y corriente... más corriente que común" (maybe the meaning could be: I am a common and normal guy... more non-refined that common". What I mean I'm an average guy, with pros and cons, who TRY to be coherent between what I say and what I do.

PHILOSOPHY

No judge, although I could think in other way, anybody does the best they think. Respest, above all.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

give the best of yourself!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As a host> I have met many people, their experiences. Also I have learned to see my city as a traveler, and I can break the rutine! It's so cool to host somebody, because my day is changing. I really love recommend some unusual place into the city, because to know the highlights are easiest.

As a surfer > I love to hear about the city from the perspective of an inhabitant, also it is always good that they recommend to me some interesting no-highlights places, also I think who makes the places are the people, so I love to enjoy them!

Interests

LIGHT and darkness,Talking, listening, exchanging, learning, DESIGN, longboarding, PEOPLE, music with wind instruments, specially saxofon; photography, silence times (difficult in this city), juggling (circus), ARCHITECTURE, walking around, FOOD.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like some films by Woody Allen, Alejandro Amenabar, Almodovar, also of Guy Ritchie and Michel Gondry, ... besides many other blockbusters. One great mexican film is "La Ley de Herodes by Luis Estrada > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHHbC44LYaE

Henry Miller, also the mexican writter José Emilio Pacheco. I'm the person who never read only one thing. I am currenly reading things related to lighting, architecture and health, also the Bible.

Since years I'm trying to get a book called "Future Shock" by Alvin Toffler who spoke about the information overload since 70's years. Does anybody have it?

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went snorkelling in a maya cenote (deep natural pit cave), also I did it at Oaxaca beaches. To pet a big grey whale in Baja California, Mexico.

On the other hand, to get somewhere, being alone, where I didn't know somebody, I couldn't speak the same language, with a real plan and without a host and little money was something what imprinted my life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to learn playing saxophone.. piano too.

I am learning new food recipies, always up to share them.

You can to improve your Spanish and I want to improve my German and English skills.
