About Me

CURRENT MISSION

On a constant mission to make the best of life here and now and learn more and more about myself, life, people, the world.
I love meeting new people for I believe that each new person opens up entirely new worlds and broadens the already existing horizons. Needless to say I love travelling. It is one of the essential things in life for me.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is what you make it.

Be present and attentive, listen, don't jump to conclusions, don't judge, be open to life.

Everybody's doing the best they can at any given moment.

Grow and learn from every experience, no matter how hard it seems to be. There's gold in every situation - keep looking for it.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I currently live in a studio so am not able to host, but I'd love to meet up with you and show you around. I also gladly (and often) answer questions and give tips on Slovenia to travellers who are coming to the country so freely write me and I'll try to help you. And last but not least, I always do my best to establish a connection with my CS hosts when I surf their couches. Thank you, everybody!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life constantly fascinates me, so just some top of the pops:
- doing Australia in a (half-broken) campervan (two people, three months, 11 thousand kilometres, all the freedom in the world)
- running the half-marathon from Denmark (Copenhagen) to Sweden (Malmö) over the magnificent Øresund bridge
- swimming with humpback whales in Tonga (and yes, it was as crazy as it sounds!)
- fenceless camping with wild elephants at the doorstep (literally!) in Botswana (and the sounds of lions growling in the distance)
- paddling in the scintilating waters of Costa Rica (bioluminiscent water) - I felt as if I had a magic wand, full of stars
- garbage diving in Esbjerg (seeing how much food we discard just like that casts a whole new perspective on our so-called civilized and developed society)
- watching playful monkeys go to sleep in the river Kinabatangan area, Borneo, Malaysia
- observing and nearly touching puffins in Iceland
- participating in a children's film about a dwarf (I played a role of a cranky mother :D)
- Venice Biennale of Art 2009 (the company as well as the exhibition was mindblowing! It was one of the best days of my life!)
- dancing on stage with an Indonesian jug woman doing karaoke in Penang
- miraculously finding rafflessia in Cameron Highlands, Malaysia
- Libeskind's Jewish Museum in Berlin (really powerful architectural setting of a great museum)
- enjoying peaceful serenity of the Isle of Arran (Scotland)
- snorkelling in Bali (I saw Nemo!)
- being a COMENIUS language assistant in Denmark (a wonderful half-a-year experience)
- walking through the maze of the Holocaust Memorial in Berlin (it is simple, but so telling and emotional)
- learning how to sing like a pro
- being an au-pair in Oxford for 3 months (<3 <3 <3)
- camping under a glacier in Iceland (and doing Iceland in general)
- walking around Ljubljana (35 km, 8 hours, great company)
- wild camping at Ursa beach in Portugal
- going to EURO 2000 in Amsterdam to support our national football team
- admiring Petronas towers in Kuala Lumpur
- C.R.A.Z.Y. partying in Oxford with Iva and our friend Bogdan
- funky nights in Budapest with Alan
- quitting watching TV 18 years ago and thus drastically improving my life
- participating in Couchsurfing.

Teach, Learn, Share

Baking and cooking.
I love talking about languages and I'm a sucker for exploring English (browsing through a dictionary in search of random words is my guilty pleasure - guilty as charged!).
I always crave more knowledge about psychology. Personal growth FTW. Just sayin'.
