Some people wish they lived in another time—not me! I have gotten to travel and meet so many people, had so many adventures and my heart still has room for more.
I practice medicine in Las Vegas after graduating medical school at CCOM. In Vegas, I am enjoying making friends and having adventures in Southern California. I someday hope to continue serving underserved Latino and Haitian communities. I love learning Tagalog, Danish, Polish. French, Spanish and Haitian Creole.

Je m'appelle Michael et je suis internist de mEdecine. L'annEe derniEre Etait dificil parce que je me suis rEtournE aux Etats Unis de CDMX. Je voudrais bossEr pour matriser le FranCais et je continue toujours d'en practiquer. Pourquoi?- on me interroge- je suis reste en France (A Poitier, A Paris...), j'ai profitE de la nuit blanche A MontrEal (grAce a deux J'ai Amies et une Jasmine), je suis tombE amoureux de Le Monde Politique et le Canard EnchaInE, j'ai dEcouvert une peu de la philosophie franCaise (particuliErement l'existentialisme du Camus) et, bien sUr, la musique franCaise (Louis Attack, Groovy Aardvark, Mickey 3D,...). Je voulais me dEmenager A un pays francophone. Mais, je n’en arrivas pas parceque je crainds que je ne manque une concordance professionelle comme mEdecin. J'Etais bEnEvolE en HaIti, Et si c’est soit possible, J'ai l'intention de faire des vacances en Martinique une hiver et je voudrais rEtourner en France aprEs j'ai rEussi l'examen DALF C2 . Dans ce sEjour je compts de profiter des toutes les spectacles dont j'ai ratE pendant mes derniEres vacances, ceux de nos (paticipation avec el GuEdelon, et Franco Follies 2012).

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Right now I'm trying to find people in other countries to meet and exchange ideas. I have a super comfortable couch available in my apartment!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

One year I did a Winter Bath in Copenhague, where my friend and I spent our Christmas night singing carols with a Brazilian and a homeless man in Christiania.

I had a couch-surfing spree in QuEbec one springbreak for the snow gathering and the Nuit Blanche. There I met some really awesome QuEbecois and discovered how amazing Canada is.

On a trip, I surfed in Poitiers, France, which was arguably the best surf experience ever!! I had a home-cooked meal with Eau-de-vie and Pastis and CrEpes A la Britagne(thanks Marielle). The next day Pierre took us to Futuroscope and a free Mickey 3D concert.
I surfed with my first CS buddies in Atenas, CR. It was amazing and totally changed my life. Later I would surf in San Jose, but I got too sick and had to fly home earlier than I planned.

I have surfed in Albany and Chicago for medical school interviews and really enjoyed getting to know the cities with help from surfers!

My best experience was couch surfing in Poitiers, France with two MDs. They were very accomodating and I had a blast.

Honorably discharged from the Navy, wrote 3 novels, created dozens of techno/acoustic guitar songs, swam in a waterfall next to the Bri-Bri reservation, went to a protest where Michael Moore showed up, started a medical publication, lived in mexico city, met a doctor from canada in haiti who had his luggage switched with mine, volunteered in a indigenous reservation, helped earthquake victims in Haiti.
