About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To maximize the use of my senses

ABOUT ME

..super outgoing, always seeking opportunties to experience something wonderful and adventurous! Particularly fond of all things outdoors; wildlife, wilderness, mountains. I enjoy backpacking and carry a huge appetite for nature. Always down to get my feet dirty and never afraid to do it solo. I have a unique job working on a sanctuary for rescued chimpanzees & lynx. Traveling, immersing myself into new environments & social scenes, playing softball, yoga, learning how to manipulate my funky hands on the djembe drum, dancing carelessly, laughing without apology, hanging out with trees..these are just a few ways that I enjoy my days.

PHILOSOPHY

to maintain a balance in all aspects of life

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I believe that all people have the right to travel, and couch surfing is a way for those to do it on a minimal budget. As a traveler, you have the bonus of meeting and interacting with like-minded people along your journey. As a host, you have the joy of helping someone along in their travels, which can feel super rewarding.

Note: currently traveling until June 2017, and unable to host until I return.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I couchsurfed across country a few times and was blessed to meet people who provided a safe, comfortable environment for me to enjoy.

Interests

solitude of nature, primitive experiences in wilderness, compass & map, paper & pen, vegetarian cuisine, human & animal behavior, 1940's era, yin/yang lifestyle, diverse cultures, thinking beyond the surface, thought-provoking conversations, sarcastic humor, and good beer!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lived in the jungles of Nigeria for over 1 year. Effort was for the conservation and protection of Africa's most endangered primates: Gorilla, Chimpanzees, & Drill Monkeys.

Teach, Learn, Share

I prefer to not prefer; all people have something wonderful to share and teach others.
