Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I opened a CS account a few years ago, when a good friend told me about how awesome it was...I want to put more effort into the CS community so I will be able to meet some great people.

Interests

I am interested in almost everything. I love families of all kinds, reading- books, newspapers and magazines, listening- to stories, music and the other sounds of life, being healthy and eating food. I enjoy biking, rowing, jogging (sometimes), hiking, walking, dancing, going to the beach, water skiing. I want to learn how to snowboard before I get too old. I like surfing on a longboard- it may not be your thing, but it is much less stressful for me. I love traveling and I hope to see as much of the world as possible. I actually enjoy school. not the stress, but the learning part. I love food of all kinds, I love babies (but I don't want my own anytime soon!), I love learning about African political/economic development, or any kind of human development. I took a guitar class last year, and I can only play 1.5 songs, but I am a sucker for musicians!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was surfing once (in the ocean, not on a couch) when I saw a whale less than 100ft away. It was a crazy experience...I didn't know what it was at first, because I had never seen a whale on the east coast of Florida. It looked like it was swimming towards me, so I freaked out a bit and paddled to shore to catch up with my friends. Then we sat on the beach and watched him swim along the horizon. It was incredible being that close to such a huge animal in the ocean.
