Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not very much so far apart from four fantastic days in NYC and a couple of nights in Istanbul.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm reading everything from everywhere. writers I'm particularly fond of are f. ex. terry pratchett, douglas adams (probably the most accurate indication of the sense of humor I like) and dürrenmatt.
I love reading newspapers as well, be it the political part or the feuilleton.
I adore movies. Nearly every genre. Except horror. It is simply to easy to frighten me out of my senses with some precisly used music and a good camera work. Latest movies I was in and tremendously enjoyed: shutter island (note: thats no horror, thats thriller) and men who stare at goats, just saw inception, liked it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Great thing I saw was the semi-final of the World Debating Championships this year in Antalya. Topic: "This House thinks the US government should subsidize twitter in supressed countries". So unbelievable great speakers and furiously fast thinkers and so witty. Marvellous thing to watch!
