About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.

ABOUT ME

After traveling around a bit out of Highschool I settled down to complete my bachelors degree in Puebla Mexico where I met my wife and made some incredible friends and memories. Now I am living in North Carolina where I rent a little house in the suburbs with my first professional job out of college. I guess normal life has finally caught up with me.

PHILOSOPHY

-Life is a canvas, PAINT IT!

-You're only brave if you're scared!

-You can sleep when you're dead!

-A journey is measured by the friends you make, not by the miles.

-Ones destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things.

-Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

After surfing multiple times several years ago I am finally in a position to consider hosting. Sharing what I know and learning from others is how I live my life. I love it... Also, spreading the secret of CS with all the other deserving and interesting world wanderers I come across.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

So far so great, I've surfed in Tahoe, London, Paris and met with some CSer's in Madrid. Everyone I've ever met through CS have been really amazing people. Each with a completely different story and all with something amazing to share. CS is more like a frame of mind, or a personality type. To be willing to open your home and your life to a fellow traveler is priceless.

Interests

I love to hunt, hike, camp, ski, fish, and most of all... TRAVEL. Those are just the everyday things, my true passion is the unknown. Also, I love meeting new people and learning about how they live. If I could live in a different country every year for the rest of my life... I WOULD!?!?!... maybe I will :) This world is so huge and I want to explore it!

Music, Movies, and Books

County Music is what I know but I like to listen to a little bit of everything. I love a good story in a song. Same with movies and books... an interesting plot is key. I like things that make you think or feel. It needs to be REAL.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At 17 years old I hiked 1600 miles on the west coast. I walked alone from around Lake Tahoe, California to the Washington-Canadian border. This 10 weeks on the Pacific Crest trail was the most incredible learning experience of my life. People are so interesting and varied. I will never stop wanting to know and experience more of this world. That trip has permanently opened my eyes to the endless possibilities life has to offer.

Teach, Learn, Share

What ever it is, do it while you can.... You can always work for a living. Better to fail epically than wonder what could have happened.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A couch: really a spare bedroom but the idea is the same.
My time: I work all week but weekends and evenings are pretty free.
A good meal: I don't eat out much and I only cook simple things but if you are willing to be adventurous in the kitchen, we can figure something out.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, France, Mexico, United Kingdom, United States
