Amateur gardener, unpretentious foodie, small dog enthusiast.

Random thing: I'm not sure why, but wherever I am in the world, people always always ask me directions. It's almost guaranteed when I go to a new city, somebody will ask me, where does this bus go? Which subway line goes to 34th st? Where is the nearest Catholic church? (that actually happened today) Sometimes, I have to ask them to repeat it in English. And I feel bad if I don't know the answer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've been a member of CS for a long time now, and have opened my couch up to surfers in all the places I've lived in the last few years. It's been a lot of fun. I've also surfed a few times, and joined the local community for fun trips out and about. It's been great.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Hosting, surfing, meeting people for coffee and cake, giving away unwanted furniture, and everything in-between.

Interests

Travelling (clearly), cooking, yoga, reading, swimming, eating nutella straight from the jar, taking photos, random walks, music, theatre, sushi, trying new things (even if I end up not liking them) anything and everything really....

Obviously, my main interest is travelling, so I quite like discussing different experiences with people. I love getting used to new currency and learning snippets of new languages. I really enjoy cooking at home, but I'm also a big fan of eating out. I love to pick up new recipes while I'm abroad or get a bit of inspiration.

I'm a total news junkie, and keeping up with whats going on in the world is a big deal to me. I have usually have lots of opinions on it all as well. My interest in politics borders geeky. But I can hold a conversation about the weather as well, if need be.

Well, I've never jumped out of an aeroplane or been white water rafting, but that's not really my kind of fun anyways. I try to find the amazing things in every part of life and appreciate them for what they are.
