I backpacked the world for years, then I became an overlander for 10 years. During those years I have sporadically hosted and been hosted. (Overlanding is slow travel, self sufficient (in motorhome), over international borders.)
I love meeting people from all around the world.
I love to learn about how a country 'works', people often talk about culture, it's great but I also like learning about industry - be that farming or manufacture or something else, I find it interesting to learn about the sources of income and employment in a country. And, I love to try different foods.

Prior to couchsurfing I hosted via Hospitalityclub.org , but joined couchsurfing as it has more members . I have hosted at home and been a guest in a few countries.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have had good and bad, but even the bad ones weren't so bad, just disappointing: hopefully they taught me to be a better guest.

Travel, dance, food, permaculture, environmental issues, meeting people, learning about other peoples way of life.
