About Me

#### PLEASE, READ MY PROFILE BEFORE SEND ME AN COUCH REQUEST ####

It's very hard to talk about myself, so it's easy if you go to my references and read what others talk about me :)

Anyway, I will try to talk a little about me and few thing that I like.

I am a designer and I love what I do.
I take life in a most relaxed way. I not a guy who have everything planned. I like to be spontaneous. I'm funny and open mind.
I love biking and hiking.
I like to party, to have a beer with my friends and spend quality time with them.
I also enjoy my time alone. I stay quite, read a book, watch a movie, take a nap... I need that up-down, party-quite in my life.
I like to explore the world, visit new places and come back to those places I like.
I also love to explore my own city and I can show you the best of Rio, especially those places out of the guide book. I also can take you to the best parties in town.
To show my city to the others is one thing that I love. Sometimes I get so lost in my everyday life, a lot of work and others things that I forget to enjoy life and the city around me. Because of that I need someone who is seeing Rio for the first time to remind me how beautiful this city is and how luck I am to live here.
I can spend sleepless nights if I’m with good company and having fun.
I like people who make me laugh, who make me think and make me find some part of me that I still don’t know.

I really like to meeting people and share experiences, learn about other cultures and Couch Surfing is the perfect place to do that.
Then you have to be aware I only host those who embody the spirit of CS. Those who will sit and chat with you. Those who want spend time to get to know how their hosts live and to learn about the city and local culture.
My place is not a hostel with a free Wi-Fi. Then do not send me a request if you are looking for that, or if you have a vague profile (especially if there are no references), or if you travel with a friend, but he does not have profile. And please, use the CS request mechanism and not a standard message.

"Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving." Einstein

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I knew the CS when was in my Erasmus in Milan in 2009. I started my experience hosting some people and surfing on some couches. Both were amazing.
Then I incorporated the spirit of CS and when I returned to Rio de Janeiro I started to attend the CSs meetings, and showing the city for many travelers and sharing a lot of experiences.

Interests

I am interested in traveling and discover new places, even if it's in my city.
I like to talk about culture, design, cooking, politics, camping, biking and much more, especially if I'm doing that with friends in a bar.

Music, Movies, and Books

I always say that I love music but music don't love me back :)
That because I already tried to play most of instruments such as guitar, piano, drums, percussion and so on... and I still don't find the one I am good at.

Then listen to music is my passion. I love brazilian music from old stuff such as bossa nova and choro till timeless samba, coco, maracatu (Chico buarque, Novos Baianos, Los Hermanos, Legião Urbana, Adoniran, Mariene de Castro, Casuarina, Nação Zumbi, Cícero, Teatro Mágico, Zeca Baleiro, Zé Ramalho, Tom Zé, Cassia Eller...).

I also like reggae (eg. Bob Marley, Natiruts...), rock (eg. Pink Floyd, The Doors...), pop rock (eg. Maroon 5, Bruno Mars...), folk (eg. Bob Dylan, Mumford & Sons...), indie(eg. The Strokes, Two Door Cinema Club...), ska (eg. Madness, OBMJ...), jazz (eg. Amy Winehouse, Jamie Cullum...) and much more. I have am so eclectic and my play list is so random.

Talking about books, I do like to read but more than that, I love to buy books. I can't pass in front of a book store or see a sale on line without buy a book. Even if I can read all. Usually I read about my job, design, UX and technology but also I like to have a break from everyday life and get into the book. Because of that I like writers who knows how to tell a good story such as Nick Hornby, Bukowski, Agualusa.

I am a fan of fantasy (George R. R. Martin, Patrick Rothfuss, J. K. Rowling), mystery (Dan Brown, Gillian Flynn, Conan Doyle) and historical books.

About movies, I am not so pick and choose. I watch great and shit movies. I just like to watch it. I'm also a big fan of tv series.

So you can see that I practically like anything, and maybe that is true. The point is I am so curious that I like to know a little about everything. Then I would love if you suggest me a book, song or movie in you couch request.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done was to do Erasmus in Milan.

But the most amazing thing was to visit Ilha Grande – RJ. That place is the most beautiful thing your eyes can see. At my first time there, I promised myself to came back at least once a year. So far I'm keeping the promise.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you a lot about the local culture and history of my country or of Rio de Janeiro (language, samba, bossa-nova, a bit of cooking, drinks, sightseeing ...). I also want to learn about other cultures.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share with you my pleasant company, my flat, few beers and the best caipirinha in town made by myself :)

Countries I’ve Visited

Brazil, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom
