About Me

CURRENT MISSION

i guess i'm just not that specific - i don't have one LOL :)

ABOUT ME

i have spent most of the last two years fighting wrongful termination and foreclosure, so i suppose life hasn't been fun for a while. luckily, i woke one morning very recently and realized that i didn't have to do this anymore and more importantly that i didn't want to. life is to short to chose to live it this way, so i am handing in my keys and heading to CA for a new life.

i don't know what the future will bring and so as i head west looking to find work, i hope also to find my old self again, because i feel as though i have been missing for a while. so as i reinvent my reality yet again LOL, i hope to meet as many of you as possible along the way, because the roads don't lead east to west or north to south but all over and around and i hope to someday again have a couch to share, as i loved hosting and want very much to host again. so… see you on the road…

AND even while i sometimes feel jaded by the life i have lived, i try not to close off my heart to new people and experiences. that seems too much like death to me LOL. AND while i enjoy history and places, i am much more interested in the people in those places than buildings and rocks. this is probably why couch surfing appeals to me so much.

AND while i do enjoy my work very much, travel has always been something that reinvigorates the rest of me and reignites my creativity. my favorite trips remind me that i am alive, free, and still quite young.

PHILOSOPHY

not so much a philosophy, as a hope going forward from the here where i find myself: to meet the road with a smile and hang my hat often with old, dear friends as well as friends i've just met :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

for the moment, not much of anything. Going through a hermit phase, but i think i may see the light at the end of my rabbit hole…

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

while i typically travel with a plan for where i will sleep each night in place, we all know what happens to even the best made plans. AND since planning failures and sudden mishaps often lead to all kinds of grand adventures… :)

i don't have time to list every experience, because i have been everything from temporarily homeless to locked out of a room or just plain lost before which led to some of the best adventures and innovative sleeping arrangements imaginable.
